Wow, almost forgot how fun kiting is! Seemed like I hadn't been out forever. Was dubious after arriving at Chapin alone and 36F feeling like 26. Dresssed up anyways, then had to warm my hands with gloves on over the car defroster twice while I got gear ready, was not sure how it would go, eventually warmed up nicely in the water. Did my usual drift launch and watched out of the corner of my eye as the 8m nemesis popped up into the air in the  power zone way before reaching the end of the lines. Luckily just let go of the Naish bar and all was right with the world, kite crashed downwind, I regrabbed bar and away into the waves. Not a soul in sight, dusk falling, and great midtide water at Chapin. Rode the inside of the outer break. Lots of air, even some crashes. It was 36F and 25-35 mph, I think my new lower limit may be even lower temps than this, but not really sure. Too bad WB is iced over. Now if I could only lose ten years and twenty pounds.
