I got flamed when I said that the police were idiots for shutting down the city over some light bright signs. But I really would feel no sympathy for that chick if she got shot. She knew exactly what she was doing. Even after T's sex change operation, you guys have the man power, just don't let her kite at P-Gay.
Ethan I understand the reason to goof a bit on Star Simpson, however, that aside, stating she should have been "shot" is a bit uncivilized and over the top, don't you think? For her MIT career fair shirt to be mistaken for a bomb, and to have a swat-team of state troopers pointing live MP5's at her and nearly mowing her down, is frankly outrageous. Thank God she had enough presence of mind (and or fear) to put up her hands, do as she was told, and mollify the police. Tragically, if she hadn't and had been shot dead, we would have all felt the heartbreak of an adolescent kid being gunned down like that. I'm sure there would be people (apparently like you) that would have said; Good riddance, and "I have no sympathy for that chick". However, in today's seemingly autocratic and heavy-handed government it would have sent yet another chill through the air. Above all, try to imagine most what Star's parents would have felt if/when they heard the news that their daughter had been mistakenly machine gunned to death, by State Police.
